Description
Maximize the performance and longevity of your air filter.
This kit works on any S&B filter and 95% of all other high-performance air filters. Proper maintenance ensures optimal airflow and engine protection.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Remove & Clean
- Clean the sealing area of the filter and filter housing with a clean, soft rag.
- Tap the filter on a hard surface to loosen and remove large particles or debris.
- A soft brush may be used for additional cleaning of bugs or stubborn dirt.
- Use S&B's Filter Cleaner to thoroughly clean the filter.
- Gently rinse out the cleaner using low-pressure water.
- Allow the filter to air dry for at least 24 hours.
2. Fill & Apply Oil
- Fill the applicator with the exact amount of oil required for your filter.
- Starting halfway up from the base, make 2–3 passes around the circumference in the same area.
- Repeat this process, evenly spacing out the passes to ensure full coverage.
3. Inspect & Install
- Allow the oil to bleed for 20–30 minutes.
- Inspect the filter for any white (uncovered) areas.
- Use the remaining oil in the applicator to touch up any missed spots.
- Do not over-oil your filter.
