Description
Get Out and Stay Out. More Time to Explore.
S&B Tanks are high-capacity direct replacements for OEM fuel tanks—offering nearly double the fuel capacity, so you can venture farther and spend less time at the pump. Let us fuel your next adventure.
S&B Tanks are high capacity direct replacements for the OE fuel tank. Allowing for almost double the fuel capacity, so you can go further and not waste time at the pumps. Let us fuel your adventure.
When using the auxiliary fuel tap on stock tanks, tap stops pulling fuel around 1/4 tank. With the S&B Tank, it will stop pulling fuel around 1/3-1/2 tank.
Important: The fuel gauge will only work accurately on vans with the J51 fuel gauge (optimized for aux. fuel tap). Please call your Mercedes dealer to confirm if you have this option. If you don’t have it, you will need TI1349-00.
PLUG AND PLAY INSTALLATION
The S&B Tank comes with all the components to remove your 24 gallon tank and replace it with our 40 gallon tank. The tank mounts in the stock location using the included straps. The tank occupies the space forward (13.1 inches) and rearward (3.3 inches) of the original tank.
YOUR FUEL GAUGE WORKS AS NORMAL.
Even with more fuel on board, your fuel gauge will remain accurate thanks to S&B’s tank design. The gauge will stay on full for the first 5-7 gallons, but then continue to move as normal. The distance to empty however will still be calculated based on the stock fuel capacity. For example, @ 20mpg and a full tank (40 gallons) you will have 800 miles to empty but your vehicle will show you have 480 miles to empty.
