Description
S&B Filters fuel tanks maximize the space under your diesel truck and empower you to fly by more gas stations like a compact, fuel-efficient car. The folks at S&B know even lifted trucks often sacrifice clearance for larger holds. That's why they design their tanks with a contour around the driveshaft area, helping you maximize clearance. A transfer pump fitting allows you to pull fuel from your now larger tank for equipment—saving valuable space in your truck's bed. Spend less time at the pump and more time driving with the S&B high-capacity replacement fuel tank designed to fit your vehicle.
THE PROBLEM
The 2000-2010 Ford F350, F450 & F550 Cab and Chassis trucks are equipped with an after-axle 40 gallon fuel tank. These OEM tanks have a failure prone coating inside the tank. Once the coating becomes unstable inside the tank, the laminate peels off and gets picked up into the fuel system. If not addressed, the containments can ruin the entire fuel system on the truck.
THE SOLUTION
S&B Tanks are made out of Crosslink Polyethylene. This material will not delaminate and is the SOLUTION to fixing issues with tank delamination. If you truck is not showings signs of delamination, this tank is a great way to protect fuel system
OEM STYLE LOCKING RING
Easily secure your OEM sending unit into the S&B tank by transferring over your original Ford locking ring. This is a faster and easier way to put secure the sending unit into the S&B Tank.
Important Note: The nozzle at high-flow fuel stations (truck stops) will not be able to fill automatically. Skid plates and straps are NOT included. These parts are reused.
This is a direct replacement to the OEM 40 gallon tank. This and your current OEM tank are the same size and shape. This poly tank resolves the problem of the OEM steel tank delaminating. This tank does NOT fit 1999 trucks.
